The Diploma in Supervision course is currently validated by ScPTI where this course, originally designed by Ken Evans, has been running for 15 years and is tailored towards counsellors, psychotherapists and supervisors / managers in private and voluntary sectors. The core trainers here in Wales are Helen Rowlands and Mel Ovens. In the light of the changing field with regard to statutory regulation within the professions of counselling and psychotherapy, additional accreditation frameworks are being explored. The course is also taught overseas and has been modified to meet the needs of WPP students. Students will be required to abide by the ethical codes of WPP in association with ScPTI as well as those of their own organisations and professional bodies.

The Welsh Psychotherapy Partnership teaching style is experiential. All Modules model the experience of supervision first, then include theoretical material. Our ethos in providing adult education is that each person is responsible for their own learning journey. We do not use role play in our training provision.
