Welsh Psychotherapy Partership Ltd. Offers an Advanced Diploma in Integrative and an Advanced Diploma In Gestalt Psychotherapy.
Welsh Psychotherapy Partnership Ltd. offers psychotherapy training in Wales in association with Scarborough Psychotherapy Training Institute (ScPTI).An experienced team of trainers, many of whom are nationally and internationally renowned will be visiting Wales and supporting WPP to create a supportive learning environment on the journey to UKCP and European accreditation. The Integrative and Gestalt Psychotherapy Courses have been running successfully for many years. From Autumn 2008, in addition to running in Scarborough, these trainings have been offered in Cardiff - the capital city of Wales.
About the Course
The Advanced Psychotherapy Diploma courses are taught on a weekend modular basis. The programme is taught experentially and is designed so that each student is responsible for their own learning journey. The ScPTI course was designed to be a "roll on -roll off" with differing year groups being present concurrently. The training group can be separated into smaller groups for specfic learning outcomes or core curriculum teaching. This philosophy is maintained and adapted to meet the needs of the Welsh Students. The 2009 / 2010 intake will have some combined modules across year groups and some "stand alone" modules. The first year dates are listed below:
PLEASE NOTE THESE HAVE CHANGED SLIGHTLY TO THOSE PREVIOUSLY ADVERTISED.
Admission

The Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy and the Diploma in Gestalt Therapy are delivered at a postgraduate level. v Degree
v Professional Qualification e.g. nursing, Dip SW etc.
v Diploma of Counselling leading to BACP registration
v Accreditation of prior learning
v Suitable experience and WPP academic essay
v WPP Foundation Course/Other Circumstances
v All prospective students are required to demonstrate a commitment to study at an advanced level and a willingness to engage with personal therapy throughout the duration of the course.
If you are interested in our training and but are concerned there may be any barriers to admission or learning, please contact us and we will be interested in discussing ways we may be able to support your professional development. At WPP we will assess your prior learning and experiences to discuss ways of gaining acceptance on the course if you should not meet the usual admission criteria.
Our core training groups are small and each year group does not exceed 12 people.
Course Content
This will be a 4-year Part time course. Both the Gestalt and Integrative courses will be taught simultaneously. In addition to shared core modules, specialist areas of interest will be covered. Whilst core groups will be established for each cohort of students, both separate and combined year learning groups will take place. Some modules will also attract qualified and experienced practitioners in the field who wish to enhance their CPD.
